Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Fulltime Registered Nurse for the Admissions Department to join our team. The hospital serves adolescents, adults and seniors with psychiatric needs, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or rehabilitation needs, and offers 24-hour admissions and referrals.

Key duties include admitting patients, conducting assessments, and coordinating with in-house physicians.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in State of South Carolina (or eligible to receive or renew-Compact).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Preferred 1-3 year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
• CPI Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and contraband searches before patient transfer to their designated unit.
• Communicate hand-off information to the Nursing department.
• Assist during downtime by making referrals to in-house physicians to assess qualification for admission.
• Provide as a resource to handle overflow intake referrals to minimize loss of referrals.
• Monitor intake flow via dashboard.
