Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social services field is required where state allows.
• Master's degree in a social services field (psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, health administration, nursing) or RN preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in mental/behavioral health in a clinical or observational setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Respond to inquiries about the facility within policy timeframes.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Perform benefit eligibility and communicate it to patient and business office.
• Collaborate with medical/psychiatric staff to support referrals.
• Coordinate admissions and transfers between levels of care.
• Maintain knowledge of milieu management.
• Communicate projected admissions to internal teams promptly.
• Ensure clinical information is received prior to admission when possible.
• Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments and coordinate with admitting physician.
• Prepare and maintain medical record documentation for payor authorization.
• Complete initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission.
• Admit patient in registration system and complete forms.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic attitude and resolve complaints; prioritize patient safety.
• Coordinate care for non-admitted patients and arrange follow-up referrals.
• Provide urgent, high-quality customer service and safety checks with supervision where required.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in a social services field

Master's degree in a social services field or RN preferred

One or more years’ experience in mental/behavioral health
