Job summary

Columbus Springs East is seeking an Activities Therapist Assistant (PRN) to support Behavioral Health programs. The role involves documenting patient responses, delivering approved group activities, and maintaining ongoing collaboration with the Activity Therapist to maximize therapeutic outcomes.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's in recreation-related field is preferred. CPR and CPI training within 30 days are required to ensure patient safety and effective

Qualifications

• CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days.
• Bachelor's degree in recreation related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient responses to groups in daily/weekly progress notes.
• Provide groups according to the protocol set by the Activity Therapist and assist patient engagement.
• Maintain communication with the Activity Therapist when treatments are not effective.
• Understand age differences and developmental needs to tailor activities.
• Offer activities aligned with the treatment plan with therapist approval.
• Help maintain a quality program meeting therapeutic needs and clear communication of expectations.
