Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is a leading behavioral health provider delivering immediate-access crisis care. The Patient Access Specialist ensures timely access to care by verifying benefits and assisting with insurance enrollment, using the EHR to update eligibility and billing information.

The role requires medical billing experience, Medicaid/Medicare knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with plans and clinical teams. A high school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical billing and eligibility processes.
• Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial products.
• Ability to pass required background checks and vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits for services in the EHR.
• Assist with Medicaid and Federal Marketplace enrollment applications.
• Reconcile daily visits with submitted applications and approvals.
• Correct denied or rejected claims related to eligibility or payer effects.
• Update the EHR with relevant patient demographics and billing data.
• Coordinate with CHS staff and health plans to obtain coverage for uninsured patients.
