Job summary

Asg-Home-Care in New Jersey is seeking experienced Behavioral Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with IDD through the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).

You will implement a Behavior Support Plan under clinical supervision, provide 1:1 in home and community settings, use proactive strategies, document observations, and follow ISP and BSP guidelines to ensure a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Prior DSP or caregiving experience required.
• Behavioral experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required by case).
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass background checks and required DDD clearances.

Responsibilities

• Implement an established Behavior Support Plan (BSP) under clinical supervision.
• Provide 1:1 support in home and community settings.
• Use proactive behavioral strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Support daily living skills, routines, and community engagement.
• Accurately complete service notes and required documentation.
• Communicate observations and concerns to supervisors and clinicians.
• Follow ISP goals, BSP guidelines, and NJ DDD requirements.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful environment.
