You will help administer medications, teach daily living skills, and implement individual behavioral plans to help residents live more independently. The role involves assisting with group home operations, scheduling, and coordinating with doctors and families.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver\'s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening.
• CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support trainings required.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities in activities of daily living.
• Administer medications and support transportation to medical appointments.
• Implement individual behavioral plans using teaching and mentoring techniques.
• Assist with staff scheduling, budgeting, and communication with doctors and families.
• Report health concerns and keep documentation accurate and up-to-date.
• Support residents in community outings and recreational activities.

You have made it your mission to ensure the comfort and safety of each client. In our residential group home, you assist our residents with activities of daily living such as administering medication, cooking meals, performing personal hygiene, and transportation to medical appointments.You also assist in the implementation of individual behavioral plans. Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you teach them new skills and help them achieve goals. Based on each individual's preferences and behavioral plans, you encourage their interests and drive them to community outings and recreational activities. You are happy to help them find greater access to the community. You are conscientious about reporting any concerns about their health and safety and keeping documentation accurate and up-to-date.In addition to the above-mentioned direct care job duties, the Behavioral Assistant Manager is closely involved with the operations of the group home. You will assist the Group Home Manager with things such as staff scheduling, budgeting, communication with doctors' offices and parents/guardians, perform fire drills, and more.
