Job summary

Point Quest Group is hiring a Behavioral Aide in Santa Maria, CA to support students with special needs during K-12 school hours. You will implement IEPs and BIPs, provide one-on-one instructional support, and help students build classroom skills using ABA methodologies.

The role works with teachers and clinical staff, requires strong communication, patience, reliability, and the ability to supervise students during transport. Monday–Friday, roughly 6.5-hour shifts with benefits included.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and reliability are essential.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work with students with diverse needs.
  • Experience with school-based or treatment settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement IEP and BIP meaningfully in classroom settings.

  • Respond to crisis situations using Pro-ACT or CPI intervention techniques.
  • Monitor and supervise students during class, breaks, meals, and transportation.
  • Record daily data on student behavior, skills progression, and learning objectives.
  • Communicate with teachers and supervisors regarding student progress and concerns.

Job Title: Behavioral Aide - Santa Maria Pay Range: $18.50-$21.00 Job Description: Point Quest is Hiring Behavioral Aides: $18.50-$21/hour +Benefits | Full-Time | Santa Maria, CA Monday–Friday | School Hours (approx. 6.5-hour shifts)| Return to school bonus eligible!

About the Role:

Support students with special needs in K-12 school settings. You'll implement behavior intervention plans, provide one-on-one instructional support, and help students build the skills they need to succeed in the classroom. This role works closely with teachers and clinical staff to deliver personalized care for students with learning, social, emotional, or behavioral needs.

What You'll Do:

Must Have:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with students in school or treatment settings
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance, as applicable per state
  • Strong communication skills and reliability
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred:
  • Pro-ACT, CPI, or CPR certification
  • Experience with students needing behavioral, social, or emotional support
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (required for BA III level)
