Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support for children and/or adults in home-based or community-based settings, working with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement behavior plans.

You will help build communication and social skills while documenting progress and outcomes. You will collaborate with families, follow established behavior-change plans, and create engaging, structured interactions to promote independence and meaningful

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with individuals with autism or related behavioral health needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work one‑on‑one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.

What You Bring

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs
• Strong communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Either:
• Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or
• At least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
