Job summary

Achieve Beyond is seeking part-time, hourly Behavior Therapists to deliver ABA services in home, community, and clinic settings across New Castle County. You will work under a BCBA to implement educational plans and collect data while engaging families in strategies for consistency at home and in the community.

Ideal candidates bring passion for helping children and families, 2+ years of experience with special needs ages 2–21, and willingness to complete training.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children and families.
• 2+ years of experience with special needs children (ages 2–21) in a supervised setting.
• Successful completion of or current enrollment in ABA training or program is preferred.
• Experience with ABA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction per the BCBA educational plan.
• Participate in team meetings with BCBA and therapists.
• Communicate with families, giving debriefs and home strategies.
• Collect daily data and organize the child’s program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality per state and federal regulations.

We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware,California (within in the greater Los Angeles and San Francisco areas), Florida, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Now Hiring: Part-time, Hourly Behavior Therapists

LOCATION: Cases Available Throughout New Castle County

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case
• Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs at the end of each session, as well as resources and strategies that can be implemented in the home and community to promote consistency
• Collect daily data and organize childs program book weekly
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations

Requirements

Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists!

• At least 2 years working withspecial needs children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting

OR

successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field

• Experience using ABA preferred
• Successful completion of 20 hour classroom training provided by Achieve Beyond and passing grade on competency exam upon completion of training

• Must be self- motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with children, family members, and supervisor
• Passionate about helping children and families, and providing services of the highest standards!
• Must be comfortable working in a home-based setting

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to climb and descend staircases
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Compensation is determined based on experience and education, and will be discussed during the interview process.
