Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a BCBA for fee-for-service, hourly and/or full-time positions. The role focuses on assessments, behavior plans, supervision, and caregiver collaboration to improve outcomes for children with ASD.

Requirements include a Master’s in Behavior Analysis or related field and BCBA/LBA certification, plus supervision experience. Travel to cases may be required; confidentiality and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Educational/Health/Human Services, or Psychology.
  • BCBA and LBA required.
  • Minimum of one year of ABA client/teacher field supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for children diagnosed with ASD and collaborate with caregivers to set goals and treatment plans.
  • Design behavior intervention plans.
  • Create functional, observable, and measurable goals for behavior therapists and caregivers to implement.
  • Provide at least 10% direct supervision of behavioral therapists assigned to cases, with feedback while ensuring program integrity.
  • Clinically review session notes for assigned therapists.
  • Analyze data and implement data-driven program changes.
  • Ensure progress is generalized with active caregiver participation.
  • Conduct reassessments at least twice per year and summarize progress.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, therapists, and the office.
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.
  • Ensure programs are socially significant and lead to independence and happiness.

Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Now Hiring: Fee For Service, Hourly and/or Full Time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
LOCATION: Virginia Beach, VA
Jobresponsibilities
  • Conduct assessments for children diagnosed with ASD and work with caregivers to create meaningful goals and treatment plans
  • Design behavior intervention plans
  • Create functional specific, observable, and measurable goals for behavior therapists and caregivers to implement.
  • Provide at least 10% direct supervision of behavioral therapists assigned to cases, incorporating behavioral skills training and specific performance feedback while ensuring clinical integrity of the programs.
  • Clinically review session notes on a regular basis for assigned behavior therapists
  • Analyze data and implement data-driven program changes
  • Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in therapy through specific goals, training sessions, and communication.
  • Conduct reassessments at least twice per year while summarizing data and progress for each client supervised
  • Regular communication with parents, behavioral therapists, and the Achieve Beyond office is required
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations).
  • Ensure that all programs are socially significant, functional, and lead to independence and happiness!(services, programs, schedule, staff, etc.)
Requirements

Must have a passion for ABA and working with children, families, and therapists!

  • Master's Degree in (Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Educational/Health/Human Services, Psychology).
  • BCBA and LBA REQUIRED
  • Minimum of one year of ABA client/teacher field supervision
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Physical Requirements Of The Role (As Applicable)
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving therapy location.
  • Frequency moves/carries objects for therapy sessions weighing up to 20 pounds for various needs.
  • Constantly positions/moves self to provide therapy services.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time working on a computer/electronic device.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
