Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Virginia is hiring Part-time, hourly Behavior Therapists to support children with developmental needs across home, clinic, and community settings. You will provide direct ABA instruction under BCBA supervision and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers hourly pay up to $24, plus a $200 sign-on bonus after 2 weeks and a $300 retention bonus after 6 months. Requirements include 2+ years with special needs children or current enrollment in relevant programs,

Qualifications

• 2+ years working with special needs children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Successful completion of Achieve Beyond training and competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the BCBA.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other therapists.
• Communicate with families, provide debriefs, and share home/community strategies.
• Collect daily data and organize the child’s program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with regulations.

Hourly Rate: Up to $24 based on availabilityand experience

LOCATION: Cases Available Throughout Fairfax County

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case
• Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs at the end of each session, as well as resources and strategies that can be implemented in the home and community to promote consistency
• Collect daily data and organise the child's program book weekly
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations

Requirements

Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists!

• At least 2 years working with special needs children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting

OR

successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or a related field

• Experience using ABA preferred
• Successful completion of 30-hour classroom/online/clinical observationtraining provided by Achieve Beyond and a passing grade on competency exam upon completion of training

• Must be comfortable working in a home-based and/or clinicalsetting

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to climb and descend staircases
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl for extended periods

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the interview process.
