New Beginnings ABA Company in Southbridge, MA is seeking a part-time Behavior Therapist for weekday afternoon sessions. You will provide one-to-one ABA instruction to children with autism, focusing on skill acquisition and reducing challenging behaviors in clinic, home, or community settings.

The position offers competitive afternoon shift pay, with differential rates of $23–$27 per hour (including a $2 differential for 3–6 pm).

Qualifications

• 18+ with GED/HS diploma or higher.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable vehicle available at all times.
• CORI check required.
• DRIVING record check required.

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing

As a behavior therapist, you are directly responsible for providing the one-to-one instruction of skills and alternatives to interfering behavior(s) based on the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

What We Are Looking For In Our Team Players

• Helpful (but not required) to have experience with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities with accompanying behavioral disorders.
• Capability to work independently as well as in a team environment with colleagues and Supervisors.
• Exhibits excellent articulation skills in both verbal and written communication.
• Possesses the aptitude to coordinate with others in recognizable and demonstrated ways.

• Ability, with training, to perform appropriate physical restraint as needed

• Skilled at standing for extended periods of time when needed and/or walk/run after clients
• Excellent play skills for toddler/young child age groups, along with the agility to get up from and down to floor level to interact with clients at their level
• Capable of cleaning up after client sessions and helping out other staff when asked.

• Maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs.
• Receive feedback in a professional manner and work independently with initial direction.
• May work with other specialists and/or parents to implement additional specified goals and objectives.
