Job summary

Beyou Behavior Therapy is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) Trainee to start a career in ABA, working under BCBA supervision in Oakley, Brentwood, and Antioch, CA. You’ll receive paid training, RBT exam reimbursement, and opportunities to transition to RBT rate after certification.

This in-person, part-time position offers hands-on experience with children, a strong emphasis on play-based therapy, and a path toward professional growth in ABA and behavioral health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 18 years old.
• Experience with children through babysitting, tutoring, coaching, teaching, childcare, or similar experiences.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in hands-on, people-centered environments.
• Open to feedback, training, and ongoing professional development.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to pass a required background check.
• CPR certification or are willing to obtain certification.
• TB testing, physical examination, and vaccination documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by a BCBA.
• Support children in developing communication, social, self-help, and other functional skills.
• Use evidence-based behavioral strategies during sessions.
• Collect and accurately record session data as required.
• Follow treatment protocols and clinical direction provided by the supervising BCBA.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
• Communicate observations and client progress to the supervising clinical team.
• Support positive relationships with children, caregivers, and clinical team members.
• Follow physical, safety, and client-specific requirements during service delivery.
• Participate in training, supervision, and professional development activities.
• Apply feedback and continuously improve your clinical and professional skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow Beyou's professional and compliance requirements.
