Job summary

The Cedar Rapids Community School District is seeking a SIAP Behavior Technician to join the District SEBH Team. The 7.5-hour day schedule corresponds to a part-time hourly position with a 189-day calendar.

The role focuses on implementing BIPs, collecting data, and coaching staff in behavioral strategies. Responsibilities include direct student support in groups or one-to-one settings, collaboration with SEBH specialists, and documentation of progress.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of professional staff, work with students individually or in group settings
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) for students with challenging behaviors
• Collaborate with district SEBH Interventionist Specialist and building SEBH Interventionist to implement BIPs
• Collect and graph data and make progress notes for students with behavioral needs
• Collaborate on a team for determining effective strategies for students with Tier 3 plans
• Provide Social Skills instruction to students
• May include working one-to-one with student to complete assigned tasks
• May support BIP as students transition back to their home school
• Other duties as assigned
