Qualifications

• Documentation and basic computer skills.
• Sound judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents with mental health, behavioral, emotional, or cognitive challenges.
• Implement individualized non-pharmacological interventions to reduce negative behaviors.
• Develop and facilitate individual and group activities for emotional wellness and behavioral stabilization.
• Collaborate with Recreation, Social Services, Nursing, and other teams on behavior strategies.
• Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to behavioral care planning.
• Identify environmental modifications to reduce triggers and promote positive interactions.
• Attend Behavior Committee and QAPI meetings as assigned.
• Promote participation in therapeutic, recreational, and social activities.
• Monitor responses to interventions and document observations promptly.
• Refer resident needs to appropriate clinical or social service professionals.
• Support resident rights, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Maintain infection prevention, safety, HIPAA, and compliance standards.
