Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Tucson, AZ seeks a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for young children in our center. You will implement individualized plans and report progress to families, drawing on background in childcare or education within a supportive clinical setting.

A pathway to RBT certification is provided with paid training, and opportunities for professional growth across multiple behavior-health career tracks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; BACB attestation acceptable for RBT.
• Preference for enrollment or completion of a bachelor's degree in child development, psychology, or education.
• Experience with children in childcare, caregiving, paraprofessional, or related roles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification within 6 weeks.

Job description

At Soar Autism Center, Behavior Technicians help children ages 2-6 with autism learn, communicate, and grow through play. Our care is based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based approach to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is a great early career opportunity to build hands-on experience in psychology and child development while making a meaningful impact every day.

What You'll Do

• Provide one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy to young children in our center.
• Implement individualized plans created by Master's-level clinicians and share progress with families.
• Bring skills from childcare, daycare, education, caregiving, or paraprofessional work into a highly supported clinical environment.

What We Offer

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour; initial offers are typically $21.50-22.75/hour, with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. Sign on bonus included with all offers.

• Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week for full-time roles.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification); preference for enrollment in or completion of a bachelor's degree program, with ideal candidates pursuing degrees in child development, psychology, education, or a related field.
• Experience working with children is preferred, including childcare, daycare, caregiving, paraprofessional, direct support, or behavioral health experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification within 6 weeks of employment.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, teamwork, and comfort using computers/tablets.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, move quickly, occasionally run short distances, and lift up to 50 lbs.
