Job summary

Strides ABA is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home, daycare-based therapy for children with developmental disabilities in Huguenot, NY. The role is part-time with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, supervised by a BCBA.

You will implement individual behavior plans, collect data, and use positive reinforcement to support progress. Ideal candidates are 18+, with a HS diploma (bachelor’s preferred), able to lift up to 50 pounds, and possessing

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Clean background check required for working with children and families.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, sit, stand, and move around during sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in-home, in the community, or at a daycare center.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
• Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Collaborate with the BCBA regarding client care.
• Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for the client.
• Maintain professional, respectful interactions with clients and their families.

Position Overview: Strides ABA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician RBT to provide in-home, or daycare-based therapy for children with developmental disabilities. As a Registered Behavior Technician RBT, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In this role, the Registered Behavior Technician RBT will implement individualized behavior plans, collect detailed data, and use positive reinforcement techniques to enhance the client’s quality of life. The Registered Behavior Technician RBT is key to delivering structured therapy and ensuring consistent progress. Our ideal Registered Behavior Technician RBT will collaborate with families, caregivers, and the clinical team to ensure each child reaches their fullest potential. Above all, the Registered Behavior Technician RBT will uphold professional standards ,and advocate for each child’s needs.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for community and in-home services).

• Clean background check required for working with children and families.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of ABA principles or willingness to learn through trainings provided.

Legal Requirements:

Adherence to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality and data protection.

• Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding child welfare and mandatory reporting.

• Physical ability to assist with safety protocols, including lifting or moving clients when needed.
