Job summary

Strides ABA is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician (RBT) for in-home or daycare-based therapy in New Jersey. This part-time role supports children with developmental disabilities under BCBA supervision, delivering 1:1 ABA sessions and data collection.

You will implement individualized plans, collaborate with families and the clinical team, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment. Weekend shifts are available and ongoing training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community/in-home services.
  • Clean background check required.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles or willingness to learn through trainings provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in-home, in the community, or at a daycare center.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
  • Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA regarding client care.
  • Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for the client.
  • Maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate interactions with clients and their families.

Position Overview: Strides ABA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician RBT to provide in-home, or daycare-based therapy for children with developmental disabilities. As a Registered Behavior Technician RBT, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In this role, the Registered Behavior Technician RBT will implement individualized behavior plans, collect detailed data, and use positive reinforcement techniques to enhance the client's quality of life. The Registered Behavior Technician RBT is key to delivering structured therapy and ensuring consistent progress. Our ideal Registered Behavior Technician RBT will collaborate with families, caregivers, and the clinical team to ensure each child reaches their fullest potential. Above all, the Registered Behavior Technician RBT will uphold professional standards, and advocate for each child's needs.
