Job summary

Butterfly Effects is hiring a part-time Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for our Marietta, Georgia center. The role offers afternoon hours, Monday through Friday from 2:30–6:30pm, totaling 15–20 hours per week.

Compensation is hourly and based on experience, education, and certifications. Ideal candidates love working with children and are committed to supporting families affected by autism.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under BCBA oversight.
• Observes and reports client progress and daily behavior.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles in interactions with clients.
• Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills.
• Communicates professionally with parents, analysts, and clients.
• Participates as an active treatment team member.
• Completes daily paperwork and data in the online database.
• Engages in ongoing training to improve skills.
• Maintains client confidentiality and follows BE policies.

What Do You Bring to the Role?

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.

• Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.
• Continuous Learning: Interest in ongoing development.
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
• Background: Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
