Job summary

Butterfly Effects in Dunwoody, GA is seeking a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician for a part-time role. This position offers 15–20 hours per week with after-school sessions.

You will implement ABA-based treatment plans under a BCBA's supervision, observe client progress, and help children develop communication, social, and self-care skills while coordinating with families. A tablet or laptop is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferred if already obtained.
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with children is advantageous.
  • Must have a Tablet or Laptop to use during sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Implements individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
  • Observes and reports on client progress daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles in all interactions.
  • Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills.
  • Communicates professionally with parents and staff.
  • Works as an active treatment-team member.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data entry in the online database.
  • Participates in ongoing training to improve skills.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and follows BE policies.

What Do You Bring to the Role?
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.

What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
