Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support children with autism through ABA-based intervention plans. The role is part-time (9-15 hours/week) with compensation based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active RBT Certification with Medicaid Credentials.
  • Passion for children and families affected by autism.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with children is advantageous.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing development and training.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Able to pass a company background check.

Responsibilities

  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
  • Observes and reports client progress and daily behaviors.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions.
  • Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills.
  • Communicates professionally with parents, analysts, trainers, and clients.
  • Works as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data in our on-line database.
  • Participates in ongoing training to increase skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner through our on-line database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

What Do You Bring to the Role?
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Active RBT Certification with Medicaid Credentials.

Physical Requirements

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
