Job Summary:

The Behavior Technician supports students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs in the school environment. The Technician implements individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), collects data, and helps create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans.
• Support students in general education or special education classrooms to promote positive behaviors.
• Use strategies to increase skills in areas such as communication, social interaction, and academic engagement.
• Collect and record accurate data on student behavior and skill acquisition.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques as needed while maintaining a calm disposition.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency and continuity of interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in compliance with school and district policies.
• Complete training and certification requirements, including CPI, which may include implementing restraint methods.

Qualifications:
