Job summary

FirstSteps for Kids is hiring a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with young children, helping them communicate, play, and develop independence. We train you and cover your RBT certification, so no ABA background is required to start.

Qualifications

• Patience, dependability, and enthusiasm for working with kids.
• Experience with children through work, school, or volunteering is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle + insurance.
• Comfortable getting on the floor to play and moving quickly when needed.

Responsibilities

• Help young children with autism learn to communicate, play, and build independence.
• Work one-on-one with children to develop communication, play, and daily-life skills.
• Support families by reinforcing skills learned during sessions.
• Record progress and collaborate with supervisors to adjust plans as needed.

Behavior Technician | $23–25/hr + Paid RBT Certification

Help young children with autism learn to communicate, play, and build independence. No experience needed, we train you and pay for your certification.

At FirstSteps for Kids, you'll work one-on-one with young children, building the communication, play, and everyday-life skills that help them succeed at home, in school, and in their community. You'll see the small wins up close: a first word, a first friendship, a child doing something today they couldn't do last week. And the skills you help teach now don't just shape a good day, they change the trajectory of a child's whole future.
