Job summary

Step Up Family Services is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to implement ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. You will work under a BCBA in home and/or center-based settings, delivering 1:1 therapy and collecting data to track progress.

The role requires a High School Diploma, with RBT certification preferred; driving may be required to visit client homes. A flexible schedule and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
• RBT certification (preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days of employment if applicable)
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods

• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors

• Assist with the generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques in accordance with the client’s treatment plan
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct in accordance with BACB guidelines (if applicable)
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times

Services are provided under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in home and/or center-based settings.
