Job summary

Step Up Family Services LLC seeks a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to implement individualized ABA programs in home settings. You will work under the supervision of a BCBA, delivering 1:1 therapy and maintaining client progress data.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and interest in psychology/education. RBT certification is preferred but not required; certification within 90 days may be required. Flexible scheduling offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
• RBT certification preferred but not required at hire; required within 90 days if applicable
• Experience with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed
• Background checks including criminal history and abuse registry screenings
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to sit on the floor as needed
• In-home and/or center-based settings; may involve challenging behaviors
• Supervised regularly by a BCBA through observation, consultation, and feedback

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Services are provided under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in home settings.

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA, following individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies
• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors

• Assist with the generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings

• Supervised regularly by a BCBA through direct observation, consultation, and performance feedback
