Job summary

Step Up Family Services LLC is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to implement individualized ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. Services are delivered in home and/or center-based settings under the supervision of a BCBA.

You will conduct ABA therapy, collect data, and execute skill acquisition programs while maintaining safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• 1:1 ABA therapy delivery under BCBA supervision.
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed.
• RBT certification is preferred; required within 90 days if applicable.
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings.
• Lifts up to 30 pounds and can bend, kneel, and sit on the floor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors.
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA.
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments and settings.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques per the treatment plan.
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct per BACB guidelines (if applicable).
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Services are provided under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in home and/or center-based settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA, following individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies
• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA
• Assist with the generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques in accordance with the client’s treatment plan
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct in accordance with BACB guidelines (if applicable)
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
• RBT certification (preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days of employment if applicable)
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods
• In-home and/or center-based settings
• May involve working with clients who exhibit challenging behaviors including aggression, elopement, and self-injury
• Supervised regularly by a BCBA through direct observation, consultation, and performance feedback
