Job summary

STAR ABA LLC in New Canaan, CT is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Technician to support ABA-based programs across home, community, clinic and school settings under BCBA supervision. You will implement intervention strategies, collect data, and assist with parent training to promote meaningful gains for children with autism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and one year of direct relevant experience with youth and families.
• An associate’s degree (60 college credits) and a minimum of two years of direct relevant experience.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement intervention strategies under BCBA supervision.
• Teach targeted behaviors using reward systems and incidental teaching.
• Record and track data from training sessions.
• Reinforce positive behavior with children on caseload.
• Communicate with administrators, parents and community members.
• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
• Follow prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent training aligned with treatment plans.
• Interact professionally and represent the organization.
