Job summary

Lilac Learning Center in Longview, WA, is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with students using applied behavior analysis. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a starting pay of $21–$27 per hour based on experience and credentials.

You will collect data, implement behavior intervention plans, support teachers and BCBA, and help students build communication and life skills in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with children (K–12 preferred).
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team and make decisions on the spot.
• Patience, follow-through, and composure under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to complete a 40-hour training within first week (stipend paid).
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Food Handler's Card within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one and small group instruction per BCBA/teacher plans.
• Run teaching trials and help students build new skills.
• Follow each student’s behavior intervention plan (BIP).
• Collect and record data on skills and behavior.
• Use Safety-Care procedures when safe-handling is needed.
• Prepare meals/snacks and deliver medication when assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect student dignity.
• Communicate progress to teachers and BCBA; support team members.
• Keep the classroom and space clean, safe, and organized.
