ABA A Step At A Time Care in Suffield, CT is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, or community settings. Therapists implement plans created by a BCBA and document client progress while collaborating with families.

The role requires a high school diploma (college preferred), willingness to travel locally, and the ability to pass a background check. Part-time hours and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous ABA therapy or child-care experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.
• Implement treatment plans designed by a BCBA.
• Collect and document data on client progress.
• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure client success.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for clients.
• Adhere to BACB ethics for RBTs.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.

Behavior Technician (BT) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.
• Implement treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Collect and document data on client progress.
• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure client success.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality and respoect for clients.
• Abide by the BACB's code of ethics for Registered Behavior technicians.
• Continue with professional development.

Behavior Technician (BT) Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay Range: $20 - $30/hour
• Part-Time: Monday through Friday 3:30 to 7:30 PM and weekends (flexible)
• Location: Suffield, CT

Behavior Technician (BT) Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous experience in ABA therapy or working with children is a plus but not required.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
