Job summary

MeBe Family is hiring a Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 ABA-based support for children with autism. You’ll implement plans created by BCBAs, track progress, and communicate with families and supervisors.

This role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and teamwork in a supportive learning environment both at home and at MeBe’s Learning Center. You’ll receive paid training for RBT certification, ongoing supervision, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • RBT/ CBT certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment with company support.
  • Ability to pass a background check and work with a computer.
  • Physical ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and be active.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in 1:1 settings for keikis with autism at home or MeBe Learning Center.
  • Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to boost communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
  • Relay progress to BCBAs to support assessments and data-informed care.
  • Accurately record progress in Central Reach after each session and manage notes clock-in/out.
  • Keep workspace organized, safe, and compliant with ABA and insurance requirements.
  • Assist with lunch, bathroom breaks, and diaper changes as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Voice questions and concerns to supervisors and contribute to MeBe Family culture.

To help you prepare for the role, MeBe Family offers one of the top ABA training programs using the Vincent Carbone method. We will invest in two weeks of paid training to prepare you to pass your RBT exam. MeBe Family will also pair you with Supervisors to shadow, ask questions and guide you.

About What You’ll Work On:
  • You’ll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center
  • You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.
  • You’ll relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
  • At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.
  • You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
  • You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.
  • You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.
  • You’ll voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate.
  • You’ll help build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • You’ll positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.
Qualifications:
  • Consistent availability from Monday through Friday. Part-time shifts available.
  • Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • RBT/ CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations)
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work with computers.
  • If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients
  • Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
