Job summary

MeBe Family is seeking a compassionate Behavior Technician to support children with autism in 1:1 sessions at home or our Learning Center. You’ll implement plans created by BCBAs to boost communication, self-help, social and play skills, while tracking progress in Central Reach.

You’ll clock in/out, maintain accurate notes, and collaborate with families and supervisors to deliver consistent care. Training is provided to help you become an RBT.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a background check.
• Able to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with computers.
• RBT/CBT certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting at home or MeBe’s Learning Center.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to improve communication, self-help, social and play skills.
• Relay progress to BCBAs and assist with BCBA assessments.
• Accurately record progress in Central Reach at session end.
• Clock in/out and submit notes to comply with ABA and provider regulations.
• Keep the workplace organized, safe, and well-maintained.
• Assist with lunch, bathroom breaks, and diaper changes as needed.
• Build positive relationships with families while maintaining boundaries.

About What You’ll Work On:

• You’ll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center
• You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.
• You’ll relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
• At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.
• You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
• You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.
• You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.
• You’ll voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate.
• You’ll help to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
• You’ll positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.

Qualifications:

• Consistent availability from Monday through Friday. Part-time shifts available.
• Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• RBT/ CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)
• Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations)
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work with computers.
• If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients
• Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
