Step Forward ABA in Oregon is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques. You will help kids develop communication, social skills, and functional independence in home and community settings.

Requirements include a high school diploma and RBT certification (preferred) with completion within 30 days; travel to in-home visits is expected. We offer a $300 sign-on, PTO, health benefits for full-time staff, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; FBI/Background check as part of typical hiring process.
• RBT certification preferred; certification process to be completed within 30 days of employment.
• Experience with direct support, paraprofessional work, or life skills assistance is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel and work in-home settings; ability to lift up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using ABA techniques to promote independence and social skills.
• Implement and monitor behavior plans; collect data and maintain records.
• Collaborate with behavior analysts, families, and team members to coordinate activities.

• Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques to promote independence, social skills, and personal growth through fun and interactive activities tailored to each child's unique needs.
• Teaching skills to enhance communication and functioning
• Implementing and facilitating behavior plans, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting strategies as needed
• Restructuring environments to support positive outcomes and reduce problematic behaviors
• Collecting data and maintaining accurate records
• Communicating with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities and advocate for individual needs
• Completing daily progress notes and maintaining accurate records

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Pass a National Criminal Background check
• RBT Certification (preferred)
• Completion of RBT certification process within 30 days of employment
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to physically engage with children in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 30lbs and maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
• Must be willing to travel and work in-home settings.
• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.) (Preferred)
• Mental health advocates and professionals (QMHP, behavioral health technicians) (Preferred)
• Camp counselors, volunteers, youth faith group leaders or youth coaching (Preferred)
• Degrees in special education, teaching, psychology, sociology, or related fields (Preferred)
• Experience as direct support, paraprofessionals, or life skills assistants (Preferred)
