Job summary

Northway Academy, part of the Sevita family, is hiring a Behavior Technician for the St. Cloud site. The role centers on supporting children with autism through early intervention, implementing therapy plans, and teaching essential skills.

Training is provided; no ABA experience required but compassion and a willingness to learn are essential. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with part-time afternoon hours (12pm–5pm).

Qualifications

• Must meet one of Level 1 or Level 2 qualifications.
• Level 1 requires graduate studies or master’s degree and substantial ABA experience.
• Level 2 includes bachelor/associate/high school paths with supervised clinical hours.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism through early intervention programs.
• Implement therapy plans and behavior strategies.
• Teach communication, self-care, and social interaction skills.
• Assist with transitions to school settings.

Behavior Technician

Northway Academy – St. Cloud

Experience supporting a child or family member with autism is also valued. No prior ABA experience is required, we provide comprehensive training. Shifts Available (Monday-Friday)

Part-Time: Afternoon hours, 12pm-5pm

What You’ll Do

• Support children with autism through early intervention programs
• Implement therapy plans and behavior strategies
• Teach skills for communication, self-care, and social interaction
• Help manage behaviors and support transitions to school settings

Qualifications (must meet one* from Level 1 or Level 2*):

Level 1 ($20–$21/hr):

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a mental health discipline or hold a master’s degree in a mental health field
• Obtained a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in behavioral health, child development or related fields and have 6,000 hours of paid/clinical experience delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services

Level 2 ($18–$19/hr):

• Enrolled in OR hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in behavioral health, child development or related fields (mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy)
• Hold an associate’s degree from an accredited institution in behavioral health, child development or related fields (mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy) and at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (including but not limited to experience as a DSP, PCA, Paraprofessional)
• Possess a high school diploma (or GED) and have 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (equivalent to 2 years of full‑time experience, including but not limited to experience as a DSP, PCA, Paraprofessional)
• Fluent in a non-English speaking language or certified by a tribal nation
