Job summary

Beyondbehaviorpa is seeking a Behavior Technician to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in home, school, and community settings in Forty Fort, PA 18704. You will implement behavior plans, collect data, and collaborate with families and treatment teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or 60 credits toward a related degree, 3+ years of paid experience with children with disabilities, and obtaining RBT certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field, or 60 credits toward degree
• 3+ years of PAID experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or intellectual disabilities
• At least 1 year experience with children with autism spectrum disorders, emotional disturbance, or intellectual disability
• RBT certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Valid Pennsylvania state driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provide Applied Behavior Analysis therapy as directed by senior staff
• Follow and implement behavior plan
• Record data and graph as required
• Keep open communication with treatment team and families to ensure progress and transfer of skills
• Complete session documentation and paperwork
• Provide 1:1 ABA services to clients in the home, school, or community

Position

Behavior Technician

Position Summary

The Behavior Technician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, community, and school settings.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide Applied Behavior Analysis therapy as directed by senior staff
• Follow and implement behavior plan
• Record data and graph as required
• Keep open communication with treatment team and families to ensure progress and transfer of skills
• Complete session documentation and paperwork
• Provide 1:1 ABA services to clients in the home, school, or community
• Attend supervision sessions to discuss feedback
• Attend quarterly staff meetings

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, transport, and move fast with clients
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
• Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including seasonal heat, humidity, cold temperatures, and other environmental conditions
• Have the ability to safely accompany clients on community outings, walks, and outdoor recreational activities

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or other social service field or 60 credits toward a degree in a related field WITH 3 plus years of PAID experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or intellectual disabilities
• At least 1 year experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders, emotional disturbance, or intellectual disability
• Center-based Behavior Therapists are responsible for obtaining RBT certification within 6 months of employment
• Experience with ABA a plus, but not required
• Valid Pennsylvania state driver’s license
