Job summary

I Am Boundless in Cleveland, OH, seeks a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to implement ABA-based services for individuals with autism and related needs in 1:1, 1:2 or small group settings. You will receive supervision and training from experienced supervisors through direct observation and team meetings.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction, collecting data, maintaining treatment materials, and collaborating with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 3 years or more years of experience in the behavioral health, human services, or mental health field.
• Preferred College Degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child and infant (training will be provided if not already certified)

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and assessments following procedures learned from initial and ongoing training sessions and based on feedback given from supervisors.
• Implement skills acquisition and behavior modification plans provided during initial training and from ongoing training and feedback from supervisors.
• Implement behavioral health treatment by providing intensive services based off the individual’s behavioral health needs including, but not limited to: skills development, problem solving, conflict resolution, emotions/behavior management, developing positive coping mechanisms, and managing symptoms to enhance vocations/school opportunities and/or independent living.
• Collect and analyze data and records of service accurately following Boundless procedures.
• Attend and participate in all treatment and educational team meetings, program meetings and Staff Development Days.

• Maintain designatedindividual’sdata collection methods, documents, recordsand materials related to treatment and educational plans.Assistin monitoring goal progression.Identifiesanddocumentwhen interventions are needed for specific goals due to lack of progression.
• Assistinmaintainingfiles for compliancein accordance withapplicable local,stateand federal standards; report unusual incidents and communicate unusual medical situations asrequired.
• Perform first aid as trained and designated.
• Complete treatment andeducation review for designatedindividualas assigned.
• Attend andparticipatein all treatment and educational team meetings, program meetings andStaff Development Days.
• Seek,receiveand apply feedback appropriatelyandprofessionally,and work towards goals developedwithsupervisors.
• Communicate byboth hearing and speakingin a professional manner with coworkers, outside professionals,and parents,and use professional language when describing theindividualand/or behaviors.
• Dressappropriately and arrive on time for work.
• Participate in fundraising activities through distribution of materials and information.
• Responsible for reading and followingthe employee handbook andallBoundlesspoliciesand procedures.
• Responsible forcompleting andfollowing alltrainingsassigned.
• Within60 daysof hire, successful completion of the required physical crisis management training(s) and certification(s) applicable to the assigned program.
• May occasionally transport clients in Boundless vehicle.
• All other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two (1-2) years of experience working directly with children and families.
• Experience working with people with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
• Experience working with people with behavioral health conditions.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance.
• No more than 5 points on license.

This job may also work in the communityprovidingservices outside of the office, in schools, client homes, and other community settings. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
