Job summary

I Am Boundless is seeking a Behavior Technician to implement ABA-based behavioral health and educational services for individuals with autism and related conditions in 1:1, 1:2, or small group settings.

You will receive supervision from qualified supervisors and participate in team meetings. This is a full-time, hourly role based in Ohio, with a commitment to supporting the boundless potential of the individuals served.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to communicate in English, including written.
• Must be detail oriented with strong writing and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavioral health and educational services using ABA principles.
• Conduct 1:1, 1:2, or small group sessions with individuals with autism and related disabilities.
• Receive supervision and training from supervisors through direct observation and meetings.
• Perform crisis intervention as needed.

What You’ll Do:

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll play a meaningful role in implementing behavioral health and educational services using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with individuals diagnosed with autism, related mental health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities in either a 1:1, 1:2 or small group setting. Receive supervision and training from behavior analytic and/or behavioral health supervisors through direct observation and team meetings. This is a full-time, hourly position. the individual. Crisis intervention is likely for issues including self-injury, aggression, and high magnitude disruptive behavior.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and in writing.

Licensure/Certification:

• First Aid, CPR - adult, child and infant; delegated nursing
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance.
• No more than 5 points on license.

Preferred Experience:

• Three-year experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral health conditions.
• Experience implementing applied behavior analysis.
• College Degree in related field.

Special Skills and Requirements:

• Must be detail oriented and have competent literacy and writing, documentation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Must be able to use tools and equipment as required – including pushing/pulling wheelchairs, lifting consumers with hoyer lifts.
