Spartanburg County School District Two is seeking a Behavior Support Technician at Colley Springs-Fingerville Elementary School in Chesnee, SC. The job of the Behavior Support Technician (BST) is to support students and classroom teachers (at each assigned school) by providing behavioral interventions, supporting in crisis situations, implementing de-escalation strategies, and helping students learn appropriate social/emotional skills. The BST is considered a tiered intervention as part of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports, allowing each child to self-regulate their emotions, reduce their anxiety and return to their general education classroom. The BST will implement social-emotional learning activities, collect relevant data/documentation, and assist school staff and Response to Intervention Teams in providing interventions to students.
This job reports to the School Principal with training and support provided through the Office of Special Services.
