Job summary

Nestvillage LLC is seeking a Behavioral Support Specialist to lead functional behavioral assessments, develop and review individualized Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs), and coordinate PRC reviews in accordance with Arizona DDD requirements.

The role requires collaboration with members, guardians, support coordinators, and staff to promote person-centered care, while ensuring rights, safety, and quality of life. Travel to Nestvillage homes throughout Arizona is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of functional behavioral assessments and behavior plan development.
• Experience with PRC processes and approvals for behavior plans.
• Ability to travel between Nestvillage locations in Arizona.
• Willingness to complete required trainings and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop, review, and update individualized Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs).
• Coordinate behavior plan submissions, PRC reviews, and required approvals.
• Monitor behavior plans, evaluate member progress, and recommend adjustments.
• Provide guidance to staff on positive behavior support and de-escalation strategies.
• Maintain documentation, review incidents, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with guardians, coordinators, and teams to promote person-centered care.
• Communicate progress and identify areas for improvement to support safety and quality of life.
• Travel to Nestvillage homes and service locations as assigned.
