Devereux League City is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Support Specialist to join a fast-paced, collaborative team. The role focuses on providing therapeutic support to individuals with behavioral challenges, including Autism and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, within a residential setting.

Responsibilities include developing individualized plans, addressing challenging behaviors, and supporting daily living skills. A High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor or higher degree preferred.
• Proficient computer skills required.
• Valid driver license must be maintained.
• One year experience in a Psychiatric facility preferred.
• One year experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder/Intellectual Disabilities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide therapeutic support to individuals with behavioral issues.
• Assist with learning, problem solving, impulse control, judgment, communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
• Manage challenging behaviors including hitting, biting, kicking, scratching and pinching.
• Create individualized treatment and education plans leveraging each child's strengths.
