Job summary

Family Services is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to join our Intellectual Disabilities Program. You will develop, train, implement, and monitor Behavioral Support Plans for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, tailoring approaches to medical, psychiatric, social, communication, and sensory needs.

The position requires a Master’s degree or PA Behavior Specialist License (or a Bachelor’s with supervision by a qualified professional) and at least two years of experience with ID

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or Gerontology.
• PA Behavior Specialist License, OR a Bachelor’s Degree with supervision by a professional who has one of these qualifications.
• Minimum two years of experience with ID and/or Autistic population; experience with functional behavioral assessments and positive behavioral supports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, implement, and monitor Behavioral Support Plans.
• Address medical, psychiatric, social, communication and sensory issues that affect navigation of home and community environments.
