Job summary

Devereux Texas is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to provide therapeutic support to individuals with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities in our residential programs. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team, develop individualized treatment plans, manage challenging behaviors, and help children improve learning, communication and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor or higher degree preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver license must be maintained.
• One year experience in a Psychiatric facility preferred.
• One year experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic support to individuals with behavioral issues.
• Create individualized treatment and education plans leveraging each child’s strengths.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement behavior support strategies and document progress.
