Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health seeks a Behavior Support Specialist to support elementary students in the Octorara Public School District. The role follows a 10-month calendar, with a 8:15am–3:45pm schedule, starting 11/01/2026.

Starting hourly rate is $21, with up to $26.50/hour depending on education and experience. The position emphasizes behavior management, implementation of BCBA-designed interventions, and collaboration with teachers, school staff, and families to promote safe,

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RBT Certification required or ability to obtain RBT within first 60 days of employment.
• At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents with behavior challenges preferred.
• Requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and technology skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel) and data collection/analyzing platforms.
• Ability to meet 100% mastery of district safety techniques.

Responsabilités

• Provides behavior management support to individuals in an Elementary school setting (grades K-2).
• Carries out interventions developed by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Transfers skills to individuals’ natural supports in the least restrictive environment.
• Supports teachers and staff in managing student behaviors and communicates with staff and families.
• Serves as an exemplar to staff and ensures efficient communication between the school, Devereux, and district representatives.
