Job summary

Aspire Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Aberdeen, SD. You will help them become as independent as possible while promoting community involvement and safety.

You will use de-escalation techniques, document activities, and collaborate with caregivers and supervisors to implement person-centered plans across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be proficient in oral and written English.
• Must successfully complete and maintain Medication Administration training certification.
• Ability to stand for up to 2 hours while administering medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered services to individuals with disabilities.
• Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed.
• Support community involvement and daily living activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and document activities per policy.
