Job Summary
The Behavior Support Specialist will work closely with clients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to develop effective behavior support strategies and ensure high-quality care. Key Facts
- Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm (40 hrs)
- Location: Columbus, OH 43215
- Compensation: $22 to $25 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans based on client needs, goals, and person-centered service principles.
- Advocate for clients to ensure services promote dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to staff on behavior support strategies, documentation, and crisis response.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, caregivers, and community providers to coordinate effective support.
- Respond to crisis situations professionally and use appropriate de-escalation and intervention techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, behavior data, and related records in accordance with care standards.
