Job summary

Kennewick Washington Elementary in Kennewick, WA seeks a Paraeducator for the Tier II Behavioral Program. This 6-hour-per-day, 180-day-per-year role starts immediately and supports students with behavioral needs under the supervision of the special education team.

The position involves direct instructional support, data collection, and collaboration with teachers, specialists, and families in a school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA degree or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits or ETS test required.
• Must attach unofficial transcript proving AA degree or equivalent; official transcripts needed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to special education students in the Tier II Behavior program.
• Provide support for physical/health needs of students as required.
• Assist teachers with clerical or instructional tasks.
• Assist with data collection.
• Implement prescribed behavioral intervention strategies.
• Supervise students to promote a safe learning environment.
• Complete required paperwork to ensure compliance with state and district regulations.
• Assist specialists in supervision of students as required.
• Make parent contacts and participate in student updates.
