Job summary

Kennewick School District is seeking a Para/SS/Tier II Autism Program paraeducator to work at Kamiakin High School. The role involves supervising students with autism and collaborating with teachers and specialists to implement instructional and behavioral strategies.

Hours are 6 per day, 180 days per year, with salary $23.15–$26.65 per hour. Additional credit-based pay may apply. Successful candidates will meet education requirements and pass background checks and CPI training.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree or 72 quarter college credits or 48 semester credits or ETS passing score.
• Must attach unofficial transcript proving AA degree or equivalent.
• Must pass background check and CPI training Level I/II.
• Ability to work with students with autism and follow district policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to Tier II Autism program students.
• Assist with health/physical needs of students as required.
• Assist teachers with clerical or instructional tasks.
• Collect data and monitor student progress.
• Implement prescribed behavioral interventions and supervise students.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain records per district requirements.
• Support specialists during supervision of students and recess.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

AA degree or 72 quarter college credits or 48 semester college credits

Passing ETS test or transcripts

Ability to meet essential functions with/without accommodation

CPI training Level I and II
