Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living seeks a Behavior Specialist to develop and implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSP) under supervision. You will train care staff to apply BSPs and intervene when behaviors escalate, ensuring consistent application of evidence-based practices.

You will participate in monthly clinical meetings, assist with crisis management, and analyze data to inform plan adjustments while maintaining thorough documentation for quality care.

Qualifications

• This role requires a 21+ age minimum and a bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred and experience with behavioral observations is required.
• Must meet background check requirements and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) under supervisor guidance.
• Train staff to execute BSP and intervene during challenging behaviors.
• Participate in monthly clinical/behavioral consultation meetings.
• Support crisis management and post-crisis reviews with the team.
• Analyze data, maintain records, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Communicate with families and coordinate inter-agency meetings.
