Chester County Intermediate Unit seeks a Behavior Support Facilitator to serve as the central point of contact for classroom staff needing behavioral or mental health support. The role coordinates immediate classroom responses through trained personnel and maintains accurate incident records.

Collaborating with behavior support staff, deans, and administration, you will oversee data reports, trend monitoring, and development of student support plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Experience in behavioral support, crisis intervention, or student services in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong data collection and analysis background on student behavior.
• PA Clearances current within 180 days prior to start date.
• FBI clearance current within 1 year of start date.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• MA provider clearance by PA and federal government required (upon hire).

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Behavior Support Facilitator serves as the primary and centralized point of contact for classroom staff requesting behavioral or mental health support through designated communication channels. This position ensures a timely, coordinated response by deploying appropriate personnel and strategies to classrooms in need of immediate assistance.

Working in close collaboration with behavior support staff, the Dean of Students, School Administrators, and external partners, the Facilitator supports effective interventions and ensures continuity of care for students, including those exhibiting immediate mental health needs.

The Facilitator is responsible for collecting, documenting, and maintaining accurate records of behavioral incidents and interventions, monitoring trends, and providing timely data reports to inform decision‑making, proactive strategies, and intervention planning. This role actively participates in team meetings to review behavioral data and assist with the development of student support plans.

Through responsive coordination, accurate data management, and ongoing professional development in behavioral support, crisis intervention, and mental health practices, the Facilitator plays a critical role in promoting a safe, supportive, and responsive learning environment for all students.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required;Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Experience in behavioral support, crisis intervention, or student services in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong background in data collection and analysis related to student behavior.
• PA Criminal and Child abuse Clearances current within 180 days prior to start date required
• FBI clearance currentwithin 1 year of start date required
• CPR/First Aid Certification required within 30 days of hire
• Clearance as an MA provider by both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the federal government required (conducted upon hire)

SALARY 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

• Hourly$24.82-$30.21Hourly(Placementisbaseduponrelatedexperience)

SCHEDULE

• Monday- Friday. 7.5 hours/day, 7:45AM - 3:45PM, 210 days/year
