Job summary

HOLLAND ELEMENTARY in Katy, Texas is hiring a non-exempt Aide - Behavior Support Elementary to assist campus admin, teachers and staff with behavioral support duties, including supervision of ISS. Immediate start with 187 duty days per year.

The role requires CPI certification preferred post-employment, a Paraprofessional Aide certificate after hire, and ability to work with children while following instructions and maintaining discipline.

Qualifications

• College hours for Title I campus: 48 required or 464 on the ParaPro test.
• College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus.
• Paraprofessional Aide certificate required once employed.
• Valid CPI certification preferred (can be obtained after employment).
• Ability to work with and communicate with children.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to federal, state and local policies and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out a behavioral program for students.
• Assist administrators with modeling and coaching for students with behavioral challenges.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining the student behavior data.
• Provide instruction to students under the supervision of administrators.
• Maintain an effective working environment and confidentiality.
