Job summary

Qualifications

• DESE School Adjustment Counselor certification required.
• Master’s degree in counseling or a closely related field.
• Licensed mental health professional (LMHC or LCSW) preferred.
• 5–7 years of therapeutic experience with students with social-emotional needs in public schools.
• CPI certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide system-wide behavioral consultation to promote student success.
• Meet with school-based teams to support monitoring and data collection of behavioral plans.
• Deliver training on adaptive behaviors, functional behavioral assessments, and behavioral intervention plans.
• Collaborate with Child Study staff to promote social–emotional learning district-wide.
• Support STEP classroom staff to coordinate multidisciplinary behavioral interventions.
• Attend IEP team meetings to review data and assist student transitions.
• Assist with transitions to alternative programs and ensure equal educational opportunity.
